BMC was born in 1973 through the great motorcycling passion of its founder, Gaetano Bergami as a distribution company for automotive and motorcycle products. In 1976 BMC developed its own first racing motorbike for the TT1 1000 Championship (now Superbike) In 1995 BMC started its cooperation with Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1, designing and supplying high-performance air filters. The know-how acquired in Formula 1 was transferred to the Aftermarket in 1996 when BMC launched its production of air filters for replacements. In 1999 BMC was required to enter the OEM sector and has started to supply the most important car manufacturers also developing new projects and complete air intake systems for small niches of supercars. BMC started its cooperation with Yamaha MotoGP in 2005. BMC entered into aeronautics producing carbon parts. To grant to its customers and stakeholders high standards of excellence in all phases of the industrial process BMC achieved certifications EN 9100: 2018 and ISO 9001: 2015 for the design and manufacturing of air filters, air filtration systems for engines and components in composite material for the aerospace, automotive, naval and industrial sector. The new advanced composites division specializing in the processing of carbon and other innovative materials is inaugurated. Over the years BMC has strengthened its position as a global leading company opening branches in the main emerging markets: China and India The growing demand brought BMC to open in Medicina a new 4.0 fully automatized factory keeping the production 100% Made in Italy. The new BMC factory is inaugurated to achieve the highest quality standards thanks to the best existing equipment.
